Repair Freezer SMEG – Basel-Country

2. Diagnosis — Our certified technician arrives at your home and performs a thorough technical inspection. Using professional diagnostic equipment, we assess all critical components: the compressor and its start relay, the evaporator and condenser, the defrost heater and defrost timer, the evaporator fan (common in no-frost models), and the temperature sensor. We check refrigerant pressure to detect any R600a or R290 gas leaks that may be causing the unit to underperform. Once diagnosed, we provide a transparent, written quotation before any repair work begins — no hidden costs, no surprises.

3. Repair — With your approval, our technician carries out the repair using original or certified-compatible Smeg spare parts. Whether the fault is a failed start relay preventing the compressor from restarting, a defective defrost heater causing dangerous ice accumulation, or a blocked evaporator fan, we address the root cause — not just the symptom. All work is performed to Swiss quality standards, with full respect for your home.

4. Guarantee — Every repair completed by Swiss Pro Service comes with a 12-month written warranty on the installed parts. You receive written confirmation of the work carried out and the terms of your guarantee, giving you complete peace of mind.
