Repair Hob SMEG – Basel-City

2. Diagnosis Our technician arrives fully equipped with brand-specific diagnostic tools. For Smeg induction hobs, we systematically inspect the induction coils and temperature sensors, as well as the touch-control board, which is a common culprit when the interface becomes unresponsive. On gas models, we test the thermocouple and the solenoid valve to identify ignition failures, and check for obstructed nozzles that cause irregular gas flow. Every diagnosis is thorough, transparent, and explained clearly to you before any work begins.

3. Repair Once the root cause is confirmed and you have approved the quote, our technician proceeds with the repair on the spot wherever possible. We work with original Smeg spare parts or certified-compatible components to ensure the longevity and safety of the repair. Smeg's handcrafted Italian manufacturing means component tolerances are precise — we never compromise on part quality. For induction models, if the cooling fan has become noisy or ineffective, we replace it to prevent the E0/E1 overheating faults from recurring.

4. Guarantee Every repair carried out by Swiss Pro Service comes with a 12-month written warranty on the installed parts. You receive documented proof of the intervention, giving you full peace of mind in accordance with Swiss consumer standards.
