Repair Microwave GENERAL ELECTRIC – Bern

2. Diagnosis — A qualified technician visits your home and conducts a thorough assessment of the appliance. General Electric microwave ovens are built around a complex high-voltage circuit: the magnetron (the vacuum tube that actually generates the microwaves), the high-voltage transformer, the HV capacitor, and the HV diode all work in concert. A common fault — the oven runs but produces no heat — typically points to a failed magnetron. Our engineers also inspect the internal fuse, which can blow silently after a voltage spike on the Swiss grid, and examine the door's multiple mechanical safety interlocks, which will prevent any heating if even one latch is misaligned. Critically, our technicians are fully trained to handle the HV capacitor safely, as it retains a dangerous charge even after the oven is switched off — a risk that makes DIY repairs genuinely hazardous.

3. Repair — Once the fault is confirmed, we provide a transparent, itemised quote before any work begins. Using original or certified-compatible General Electric spare parts, we carry out the repair on-site wherever possible. Whether it is a burnt-out magnetron, a faulty rotating plate motor, or a blown internal fuse, our engineers work with precision and care.

4. Guarantee — Every repair completed by Swiss Pro Service comes with a 12-month written warranty on the installed parts, giving you complete peace of mind long after our technician has left.

Speed and reliability are not optional extras at Swiss Pro Service — they are our standard.
