Repair Microwave AEG – Lucerne

2. Diagnosis — A qualified technician visits at a time that suits you and carries out a thorough inspection. AEG microwave ovens rely on a chain of high-voltage components — including the magnetron (the vacuum tube that actually generates the microwaves), the high-voltage transformer, the HV capacitor, and the HV diode — any one of which can be the source of a fault. One of the most common issues we encounter is a microwave that powers on and runs but produces no heat: this is typically a sign of a burnt-out magnetron or a failed HV capacitor. We also frequently address blown internal fuses caused by voltage spikes, a faulty turntable motor leaving the rotating plate stationary, and door safety interlock problems that prevent the oven from starting. Please note: the HV capacitor retains a dangerous charge even when the appliance is switched off and unplugged — this is precisely why professional intervention is essential.

3. Repair — Once the fault is identified, we provide a clear, itemised quote before any work begins. We use original or certified-compatible AEG spare parts to ensure your appliance performs exactly as the engineers in Germany intended. As a brand that has held A+++ energy ratings as standard across its range, your AEG deserves components that preserve both its performance and efficiency.
