Name: Repair Freezer SIEMENS – Bern
Brand: SIEMENS

Question 1

How much does a Siemens freezer repair cost with Swiss Pro Service?

Accepted Answer

We charge a transparent diagnostic fee for the technician's visit and assessment — this covers a thorough inspection of your Siemens freezer, including components such as the compressor relay, temperature sensor, and defrost circuit. Once the fault is identified, you receive a detailed, itemised quote before any repair work begins. You are never billed for parts or labour without your prior approval, so there are no surprises on the final invoice.

Question 2

How quickly can a technician reach me, and how do I book?

Accepted Answer

In most Swiss cantons, we can schedule a visit within 48 hours of your initial contact. For urgent situations — such as a Siemens freezer that has stopped cooling entirely and puts stored food at risk — we prioritise your request, with a technician on site within 48 hours and, wherever availability allows, the next day in the main cities. You can book via our website, telephone, or WhatsApp. Our team confirms your appointment immediately and sends a reminder before the technician arrives.

Question 3

Do you use genuine Siemens spare parts for freezer repairs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Swiss Pro Service sources original BSH Group-approved parts specifically engineered for Siemens appliances, including start relays, defrost heaters, thermostats, and evaporator fans compatible with iQ700 and other ranges. Where original parts have extended lead times, we use certified-compatible alternatives that meet the same technical specifications. This ensures your freezer's performance — including its precise -18°C to -24°C operating range — is fully restored.

Question 4

What warranty do you offer on Siemens freezer repairs?

Accepted Answer

All Swiss Pro Service interventions on Siemens freezers come with a 12-month written warranty on the installed parts. If an installed part fails within the warranty period, it is replaced at no cost; the call-out and labour for the new visit are charged. This warranty applies equally whether we have replaced a faulty compressor relay, recharged the R600a refrigerant circuit, or repaired the automatic defrost heating element — giving you genuine peace of mind.

Question 5

How can I maintain my Siemens freezer to prevent future breakdowns?

Accepted Answer

For Siemens no-frost freezers, the single most effective preventive measure is to inspect and clean the evaporator fan vent area every three to four months. Dust and food particles can restrict airflow and cause the fan to work harder, accelerating wear and eventually leading to ice accumulation or compressor strain. Additionally, ensure the door seal is pliable and intact — a degraded gasket forces the compressor to cycle more frequently, shortening its lifespan.
