Name: Repair Freezer ELECTROLUX – Zurich
Brand: ELECTROLUX

Question 1

How much does it cost to repair an Electrolux freezer with Swiss Pro Service?

Accepted Answer

We charge a transparent diagnostic fee for the initial assessment, which covers the technician's visit and full inspection of your Electrolux freezer — including components such as the compressor relay, defrost heater, and temperature sensor. Before any repair work begins, you receive a clear, itemised quote with no hidden charges. The diagnostic fee is deducted from the total repair cost should you choose to proceed, ensuring complete pricing transparency.

Question 2

How quickly can a Swiss Pro Service technician reach me, and how do I book?

Accepted Answer

In most areas of Switzerland, we can arrange a visit within 48 hours of your initial contact. For urgent situations — such as a complete Electrolux freezer failure risking food spoilage — we prioritise your request, with a technician on site within 48 hours and, wherever our schedule permits, the next day in the main cities. Booking is straightforward: use our online form at any hour or call our customer line directly. We'll confirm your appointment and the name of your assigned Electrolux specialist promptly.

Question 3

Do you use original Electrolux spare parts for freezer repairs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Swiss Pro Service stocks and sources original Electrolux spare parts as the first choice for every repair, including start relays, defrost heaters, evaporator fan motors, and temperature sensors. Electrolux's century-long global presence — operating in over 150 countries with an extensive supply chain — means components are well-documented and generally available. Where an original part faces a lead time, we use only certified-compatible equivalents that meet Electrolux's original technical specifications.

Question 4

What warranty do you provide on Electrolux freezer repairs?

Accepted Answer

All repairs carried out by Swiss Pro Service come with a 12-month written warranty on the installed parts. This warranty applies to the specific fault that was diagnosed and resolved — for example, a replaced defrost heater, a recharged R600a or R290 refrigerant circuit, or a new compressor start relay. Should an installed part fail within the warranty period, it is replaced at no cost; the call-out and labour for the new visit are charged.

Question 5

What is one maintenance tip to keep my Electrolux freezer running efficiently?

Accepted Answer

For Electrolux no-frost freezers, we recommend inspecting and cleaning the condenser coils and the area around the evaporator fan at least once a year. Dust and debris accumulating on these components force the compressor to work harder, increasing energy consumption and accelerating wear. Additionally, ensure the door seal is supple and creates a firm contact all the way around — a deteriorating gasket allows warm, moist air to enter, which overloads the automatic defrost heater and can trigger premature icing faults.
